RECRUITMENT FOR THE POSTS OF PROJECT STAFF ON CONTRACT BASIS

Applications are invited for ICMR PROJECT – TITLED “Moxifloxacin containing shorter regimen versus 6 months standard regimen for treatment of drug sensitive TB disease in children aged 1 year to 18 years – open labelled randomized controlled trial (4M kids’ trial)” in Visakhapatnam.

The posts are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Terms and Conditions

• The above posts will be filled purely on a temporary basis, co-terminus with the project with the candidates having no right to claim for permanent employment.
• Since the project involves field work, applicants should be willing to travel in the field. Allowances will be given, as admissible.
• No benefit such as Provident fund, Leave Travel concession, Medical Claim, any other fringe benefits will be considered, since posts are purely on temporary basis. The persons engaged on above positions shall not have any claim on the regular post in the ICMR or in any of its institutes/centers or in any department of Government of India and their term with breaks or without breaks in any or multiple projects/ service with ICMR will not confirm any right for further assignment or transfer to any other project or appointment/ absorption/ regularization of service in ICMR. ICMR reserves to terminate the positions even during the agreed contact period or extended contract period without assigning any reason.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• There is no provision for providing Govt. accommodation inside or outside the campus.
• Experience will be counted from the date of completion of minimum education qualification.
• Employment would be subject to half yearly renewal after assessment and can be terminated after giving one-month prior notice on either side.
• Leaves will be as per rules and regulations permitted by Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam for contractual positions.

Self-attested E copies of certificates to be attached 1. 10^th class certificate 2. Relevant Degree certificates 3. Registration certificate with concerned council for (Project Research Scientist and Project Staff Nurse only) 4. Relevant Experience certificates.

• Interview date will be communicated later via email.
• Candidate should clearly mention the post for which they are applying.
• Late applications shall not be entertained and rejected straight away without any reasons communication and correspondence.
• Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
• Mere participation in the interview does not guarantee selection of the candidate.
• All educational qualification certificates shall be from a recognized Board/University.
• All experience gained shall be preferably from a Govt. Organization and shall be counted after the date of completion of Minimum Essential Qualification.
• Experience in the relevant field/area, as required for the study of the Project concerned, will be considered.
• The required relevant Field/Specialization may be mentioned in bracket against the position that is to be filled.
• If no suitable candidate is found for a project position, the Principal Investigator (PI) may, with the approval of the Head of the Institute and subsequent notification to the Council, downgrade the position with information to the Council.
• Upper Age limit is 45 years for all the above posts.
• The fixed term engagement (s) i.e. initial as well as extended, shall automatically cease/conclude, if the same is not extended within the tenure. No retrospective extension of engagement (s) shall be permissible.
• Based on project requirements, the Principal Investigator (PI) may, with the approval of the Head of Institute, recruit specialized personnel with equivalent qualifications for a sanctioned position by adhering to relevant guidelines and informing the Council.
