79th Independence Day Celebrations at Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour at Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, in the historic Panagal Building.

Principal Dr. K.V.S.M. Sandhya Devi hoisted the National Flag, accompanied by Assistant Director Mr. E. Logunadhan. The 4(A) AMC Naval Medical Unit presented an impressive Guard of Honour, adding pride and dignity to the occasion.

Faculty members, students, and administrative staff participated in large numbers, reflecting the unity and spirit of the AMC fraternity.

As part of the celebrations, NCC cadets received their rank updates from the Principal. In her address, Dr. Sandhya Devi highlighted the values of unity, service, and dedication in nation-building. She also reaffirmed AMC’s zero-tolerance policy towards ragging and emphasized the importance of fostering a safe and respectful campus environment.

The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, marking a solemn tribute to the nation and its freedom fighters.
