World AIDS Day, observed annually on December 1st, serves as a vital reminder of the ongoing global HIV/AIDS epidemic and the urgent need for continued action.

Theme 2024 ‘Take the Rights Path,’ highlights the critical role of human rights in the fight against HIV/AIDS. It calls for the removal of social and legal barriers that prevent people living with HIV from accessing healthcare, support, and treatment

Despite significant advancements in prevention and treatment, HIV/AIDS remains a significant public health concern, disproportionately affecting vulnerable populations. We must redouble our efforts to eliminate stigma and discrimination, expand access to PrEP and PEP, invest in research and development].

Department of Community Medicine @ Andhra Medical College , King George Hospital Visakhapatnam conducted Beach Walk to create Local awareness among people about the disease with display boards and Role plays on the beach road , Visakhapatnam .

Dr Krishna Veni A , Professor & HOD Community Medicine successfully conducted the program with 500 Medical Students ( Both PG’s and UG Students ) and Faculty of Andhra Medical College.
