
The Department of Pharmacology, Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam is organizing a series of academic and community-based activities as part of Pharmacovigilance Week – 2025 (17th–23rd September) with the theme:
“Creating Awareness on Pharmacovigilance”
The programs include:
- Walkathon to promote public awareness.
- Skit and Street Plays highlighting the importance of reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
- Sensitization Training on Reporting ADRs for postgraduates, undergraduates, interns, nursing staff, nursing students, and paramedical staff.
- Community Outreach Programs in panchayats, municipality areas, and pharmacy colleges.
- Common Teaching Program (CTP) on Pharmacovigilance for PGs and faculty members.
- Debates and Elocution Competitions on “Your Safety, Just a Click Away: Report to PvPI”.
- Poster Presentations, Quiz Programs, and Essay Writing Competitions to encourage student participation.
Through these activities, the Department aims to strengthen knowledge, awareness, and active participation in Pharmacovigilance among students, healthcare professionals, and the community.
