White Coat Ceremony
Andhra Medical College , Visakhapatnam hosted White Coat Ceremony for New Medical Students 2024-25 Batch on 28th October 2024 to welcome and officially induct its newest class of medical students.
The White Coat Ceremony is a symbolic rite of passage that marks the beginning of these students’ medical education and their transformation into future healthcare professionals. During the ceremony, each new student will be “coated” by a faculty member, symbolizing their entrance into the medical field and the medical community.
“The White Coat Ceremony is a profound and meaningful tradition that signifies the start of our students’ journeys to become compassionate, ethical, and highly-skilled physicians,” said Dr G Butchi Raju , Principal & Additional Director Medical Education , AP State “We are thrilled to welcome this talented group of individuals and look forward to supporting them as they pursue their dreams of serving others through medicine.”
The ceremony will took place at Exam Hall at 9:30 am. The event was open to the Faculty parents and our students.
Our Chief Guests were Dr C Ravi Venkatachelam , ADME & Principal , GMC Srikakulam, Dr S.Srinivas Professor of General Medicine RMC , Kakinada , Dr Murali krishna Voona , Chairman AP state CII and Managing Director Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital & Research Centre , Visakhapatam and our KGH Superintendent Dr P Sivananda along with Our Vice Principals Dr V Manmadha Rao & Dr G Rajendra Prasad along with other Senior Faculty members , Andhra Medical College , Visakhapatnam with a rich history of educating future healthcare leaders. Andhra Medical College is committed to providing students with a comprehensive, innovative educational experience that prepares them for successful careers in medicine and beyond.
Over 240 students attended the White Coat Ceremony with their Proud parents and relished the event.
