The department offers a wide range of women/ maternal and child welfare services to 7 districts around AP in 2 hospitals ‐ KGH and VGH (Victoria General Hospital) that was started in 1894. The inpatient services are offered with faculty divided into 10 Units in total, managing 300 inpatient beds each in both hospitals filled to greater than 100% capacity. On site blood bank, attached SNCU and Family planning services are also offered at both hospitals. Outpatient services are offered through extremely busy clinics for Obstetrics, Gyneacology, infertility, STD, adoescent health and geriatrics care.
