The department of Urology is actively involved in the renal transplant program that commenced in 2003 and performs one renal transplant per month currently. There is an ESWL (extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy) machine for management of renal stones that is used for patient benefit regularly.
The faculty see over 1000 outpatients and take care of 80‐100 inpatients per month. The urology department has 43 inpatient beds with 1 male and 1 female ward and postop wards as well. They are currently performing endourological as well as laparoscopic surgeries and are to restart RIRS/ LASER procedures as well.
In addiiton to clinical responsibilities, the faculty are involved in teaching, and academic activities and are well published in national and international journals.
